2026 Session Deadlines:

• April 28, 2026 – Deadline for any conference committee report on the Long Bill to be adopted.
• April 28, 2026 – Final passage deadline for Senate bills in the House and House bills in the Senate.
• May 1, 2026 – Appropriation Committee reporting deadline for bills referred to it in the house of introduction.
• May 6, 2026 – Final passage deadline in the house of introduction for all bills referred to the Appropriations Committee in that house.
• May 11, 2026 – Appropriation Committee reporting deadline for bills referred to it in the second house.
• May 13, 2026 – Final passage deadline, including any conference committee report, for any school finance bills.
• May 13, 2026 – Final passage deadline in the second house for all bills referred to the Appropriations Committee in that house.
• May 13, 2026 – 120th Day of Session – Adjournment Sine Die.
• June 12, 2026 – Last day for Governor to act on bills.
• June 13, 2026 – Bills not signed or vetoed by the Governor become law without signature at 12:01 a.m.
• August 11, 2026 – Deadline to submit referendum petitions to the Secretary of State’s office.
• August 12, 2026 – Bills passed with “Act subject to petition” clause become effective at 12:01 a.m. if referendum petition not filed.
